THE eJEWCATE ME CURRICULUM

The eJewcate Me curriculum is based upon helping students understand that Judaism, with its rich traditions, is meaningful and relevant to their lives. Each lesson incorporates cutting edge technology featuring a web-based curriculum that utilizes animation, video clips, games and other exciting multimedia sources.

The five-year Judaic curriculum covers Holidays, Torah, Life Cycle, Israel, History and God taught through essential questions that affect and apply to our students’ lives. Each lesson is structured to guide our students through Jewish sources to discover a variety of ideas and viewpoints based on Judaism and Jewish values. The lessons provide thought-provoking questions and a short project that help apply the concepts to their lives. Each year your child will complete 30 lessons at his/her own pace within a nine month (39 weeks) period. These lessons are all available 24/7 to be completed online by your child whenever it is most convenient.

The Hebrew lessons are taught through videos and games that cover some modern Hebrew vocabulary as well as reading, chanting, and understanding prayers. This will enable students to participate in Shabbat and holiday worship services as well as home celebrations. In addition, each student is provided 30 one-on-one tutoring sessions to ensure proficiency and understanding of Hebrew.

Our five-year curriculum works together to allow students to have an overall understanding of the relevance of Judaism in their lives.
